Role & Responsibilities
- Design and execute consumer quantitative and qualitative research studies, independently moderating focus group discussions and in-depth interviews
- Supervise research fieldwork, conduct data analysis, and prepare comprehensive research reports with detailed insights and recommendations
- Collaborate with research agencies from project brief through completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards
- Partner with global Research, Business & Processes teams on worldwide projects while integrating China-specific consumer insights
- Maintain and optimize the internal consumer panel, generating quarterly actionable insights and ensuring organized data accessibility
- Build and curate an internal database of consumer tests, establishing normative reference standards for future testing
- Explore and pilot emerging research methodologies including AI, emotion analysis, and cognitive evaluation to enhance research capability
- Monitor local beauty market trends, product competition, and regulatory landscape using platforms such as GNPD and Beauté Research
- Initiate and organize evaluation sessions on market launches and emerging consumer trends to keep stakeholders informed
- Manage and expand the network of consumer research vendors and external partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, sociology, anthropology, statistics, or related discipline
- Minimum 6 years of professional experience in consumer research
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in cosmetics or FMCG research and development
- Demonstrated expertise in leading both qualitative and quantitative research studies
- Proficiency in statistical software including SPSS and XL-Stat
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Strong report writing capabilities and data interpretation expertise
- Fluent in English; French language proficiency is advantageous
- Innovation mindset with background in consumer research and sensory methodology

Experience
Minimum 6 years of professional consumer research experience, with at least 4 years focused on cosmetics or FMCG research and development. Proven experience leading both qualitative and quantitative research studies, managing multiple concurrent projects, and supervising research fieldwork from concept through analysis and reporting.
Education
Bachelor's degree or above in psychology, sociology, anthropology, statistics, or related field.
