CHANEL’s Finance Division is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations, employee inquiries, system integrations, data integrity, and payroll controls. The role is partially remote and requires at least three in-person office days per week in Piscataway, New Jersey.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Review incoming Workday integration data daily, research discrepancies, and apply corrective action as needed.
  • Respond promptly to employee payroll inquiries and provide payroll support.
  • Gather payroll preparation data through the US Payroll email inbox and Teams group channels.
  • Run integrations between the timekeeping and payroll processing systems to transfer hours.
  • Review job, compensation, and employee address changes for accuracy, coordinating with HR partners to validate data.
  • Review payroll pre-check reports for discrepancies, research issues, and provide resolutions as needed.
  • Work across HRIS and payroll systems to maintain data integrity.
  • Prepare standard operating procedures for daily, weekly, and monthly tasks.
  • Set up garnishments.
  • Complete post-payroll tasks, including deferred compensation funding and post-close report validation.
  • Support ad hoc projects as requested.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Ulti-Pro, Kronos, and Workday.
  • Basic understanding of payroll processing.
  • Knowledge of state and federal payroll and tax regulations.
  • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong technical understanding of input/output.
  • Comfort analyzing data.
  • Associate of Science or Associate of Arts degree in accounting or a related finance field.
