Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the analysis and control of payroll mass across assigned entities: consolidation of payroll expense, social contributions and employer charges.
- Produce monthly management reporting and dashboards on headcount, gross-to-net payroll, FTE trends, and variances versus budget and forecast.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting and rolling projections for payroll costs; deliver sensitivity analyses and scenario modelling to support business decisions.
- Coordinate month‑end and year‑end close activities related to payroll accounts, ensuring accuracy of accruals, allocations and journal entries.
- Partner with HR, Payroll operations and external providers to validate data integrity, payroll calculations and the application of social/legal provisions.
- Implement and maintain internal controls around payroll processes; support internal and external audits and remedial actions.
- Drive process improvements and harmonisation of payroll reporting standards across entities; contribute to HRIS/payroll system initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a related discipline.
- Proven experience (typically 3–5 years) in financial control, management accounting or payroll controlling within large, matrixed organisations; experience in retail or luxury preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll accounting, French social charges and labour‑cost drivers.
- Demonstrable skill in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for labour costs.
- High level of numerical rigour, attention to detail and the ability to present complex data to senior stakeholders.

Typically 3–5 years of relevant experience in management accounting, financial controlling or payroll finance within a sizeable corporate environment; prior exposure to retail or luxury sectors and to payroll operations is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent.
