Chanel seeks an experienced IP Litigation & Anticounterfeit Paralegal in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. Fixed-term contract supporting global brand protection strategy.
Role & Responsibilities
- Assist the team head in executing antifraud and anticounterfeit defense strategies across assigned territories, coordinating with local authorities, agents, and external counsel
- Provide daily support to legal counsel through legal research, case file construction, and documentation for pre-litigation and IP contentious matters
- Manage and optimize legal operations tools and databases (IManage, Anaqua, internal counterfeiting tracking systems) through data updates, automation of recurring requests, and process optimization
- Prepare activity reports, statistical analyses, presentations, and legal summaries using Power Point and other digital tools
- Draft, update, and disseminate legal guidelines and procedural documentation based on attorney direction (knowledge management)
- Contribute to the legal department's digital transformation initiatives by identifying and implementing technological improvements to workflows and systems
- Coordinate communications with international stakeholders, including internal teams across five global legal regions and external legal contacts
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree (Bac+3) or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, specifically in IP litigation or related matters
- Expert-level knowledge of intellectual property law with demonstrated experience in litigation and anticounterfeit enforcement
- Fluent English, both written and oral
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Hands-on experience with legal management software (IManage, Anaqua, or similar platforms)
- Competency in legal document design and visual presentation
- Strong analytical and digital research skills, including internet research and social media monitoring capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organizational priorities and deadlines

Minimum 3 years of professional experience as a paralegal in a law firm or in-house legal department, with demonstrated expertise in intellectual property law, litigation support, and anticounterfeit matters. Proven track record of managing complex legal files, conducting thorough legal research, and coordinating across international teams and external counsel.
