Chanel in Neuilly-sur-Seine seeks an Alternance Packaging Buyer (Makeup) for Parfums Beauté, starting Sept 2026 — apprenticeship in procurement and packaging.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Support the Packaging Buyer for makeup in sourcing and managing packaging suppliers across concept, sampling and industrialization phases.
  • Draft and maintain packaging specifications, technical datasheets and artwork requirements in collaboration with Design and R&D.
  • Assist with cost analysis, price breakdowns and supplier quotations to support negotiation and budget control.
  • Coordinate sample validation, quality inspections and follow-up on corrective actions with suppliers and Quality teams.
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables; update procurement trackers and participate in cross‑functional project meetings (R&D, Production, Quality, Legal).
  • Contribute to supplier qualification, onboarding and performance monitoring, including sustainability and regulatory compliance checks.
  • Prepare purchase orders and support transactional activities within the procurement system.
  • Produce clear reports and presentation materials for stakeholders, summarizing status, risks and decisions.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s/master’s program in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related discipline (alternance/apprenticeship eligible).
  • Strong interest in cosmetics packaging, materials and luxury product quality standards.
  • Analytical mindset with capacity for cost breakdowns, technical specification and problem solving.
  • Organized, proactive and able to coordinate multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
  • Professional command of French; good working knowledge of English for cross‑border supplier interactions.
  • Prior internship or academic project experience in procurement, packaging or supplier coordination is a plus.
