Chanel is hiring an Operations Manager at Westfield UTC, San Diego to oversee boutique operations and deliver exceptional client experiences.
Role & Responsibilities
- Direct and optimise day-to-day boutique operations at the Westfield UTC location to ensure flawless service and operational excellence.
- Lead, coach and develop a multidisciplinary store team; manage scheduling, performance reviews and talent retention initiatives.
- Drive exceptional client experiences through implementation of clienteling best practices and close coordination with sales and CRM teams.
- Oversee inventory control, stock replenishment, receiving procedures and loss-prevention protocols to safeguard merchandise integrity.
- Ensure compliance with corporate policies, local regulations and safety/security procedures; liaise with corporate operations and HR as required.
- Manage administrative and financial tasks including daily cash operations, banking, sales reporting and basic P&L oversight in collaboration with regional leadership.
- Maintain boutique presentation and visual standards in partnership with visual merchandising to uphold brand aesthetics.
- Implement and refine operational processes and local initiatives to increase efficiency, conversion and average transaction value.
Qualifications
- Proven management experience within luxury retail or premium boutique environments, with responsibility for operations and team leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver an elevated client experience and to instil clienteling discipline across a sales team.
- Solid commercial acumen with familiarity managing sales reporting, cash handling and basic budgetary oversight.
- Strong organizational skills with experience in inventory control, loss prevention and retail logistics.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; aptitude for coaching and performance management.

Experience
Minimum three years of supervisory or managerial experience in retail, preferably within the luxury fashion or beauty sectors; prior responsibility for boutique operations, inventory control and staff development is expected.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in business, retail management, hospitality or a related field preferred.
