Chanel seeks an Operations Financial Controller in Neuilly-sur-Seine for its Perfumes & Beauty division. Lead financial oversight of procurement and supply chain operations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Produce, validate and analyze monthly procurement performance reporting, including actual and projected purchase volumes, scope variations, and variance analysis between actual and standard pricing
- Monitor and control development expenditures related to tooling and mould investments
- Participate in closure, forecasting and budget construction processes for the assigned scope
- Collaborate with Procurement and Operations Control teams on standard cost calculations
- Analyze and synthesize cost of goods sold evolution across reporting periods to inform decision-making
- Maintain and update merchandising element costs (PLVA) throughout development cycles
- Lead direct financial oversight of assigned product category, serving as primary financial liaison to procurement buyers
- Ensure reliability, consistency and relevance of financial and operational data dissemination
- Identify anomalies and discrepancies in reporting and coordinate resolution with IT and business teams
- Contribute to the evolution and optimization of Business Intelligence and reporting tools, particularly SAP BW and Power BI
- Propose automation, simplification and continuous process improvement initiatives
- Produce and analyze monthly reporting on inventory destruction, blocked stock and key inventory indicators
- Monitor inventory levels, coverage ratios and capital immobilization, identifying risk areas
- Contribute to quarterly obsolescence provision calculations, analysis and justification
- Formulate recommendations to operational teams to mitigate stockout and obsolescence risks
- Participate in Supply Chain departmental budget construction
- Ensure monthly tracking of operating expenses and headcount
- Analyze variances between actual results, budget and forecasts, communicating findings clearly to operational leadership
- Support teams in identifying and monitoring action plans when required
- Actively contribute to tool and process transformation projects
- Participate in cross-functional projects strengthening performance management, data quality and Finance function efficiency
- Adopt proactive engagement with business teams, proposing analyses, solutions and improvements aligned to operational priorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree + 5 years (Bac+5) from a business school, engineering school or university with specialization in finance, control of management or operations management
- Minimum 2–3 years of demonstrated experience in control of management, audit, operational finance or within a Procurement/Supply Chain environment
- Solid financial culture with genuine interest in operational, industrial and supply chain issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong interest in reporting tools, information systems and data analysis
- Experience or familiarity with SAP, SAP BW, Power BI or similar business intelligence platforms
- Professional English language proficiency
- Ability to thrive in demanding, cross-functional environments and prioritize multiple concurrent initiatives
- Capability to transform analyses into actionable operational recommendations

Experience
A minimum of 2–3 years of professional experience in control of management, audit, operational finance, or within a Procurement and Supply Chain setting. Demonstrated success in financial analysis, budget oversight, and cross-functional collaboration in demanding operational environments.
Education
Bachelor's degree (Bac+5 or equivalent) from a business school, engineering school or university, with specialization in finance, control of management, or operations management.
