Operations Assistant at Chanel's Yorkdale Boutique in Toronto; boutique operations, inventory, and client service role. CAD $70k–$75k + bonus.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Maintain strong client relationships by responding to telephone and email inquiries from internal and external parties
  • Support sales floor operations including client welcomes, gift wrapping, repair intake, and collection presentations
  • Assist with inventory management processes including RFID scanning, cycle counts, and year-end inventory
  • Proactively manage inventory shrink and maintain merchandise integrity
  • Execute all incoming and outgoing merchandise processing within 24 hours
  • Maintain document retention in accordance with company guidelines
  • Oversee compliance for Customer Owned Goods, Chanel et Moi repairs and alterations, and consignment procedures
  • Reconcile and balance daily boutique invoices through internal systems
  • Maintain adequate stock of boutique supplies and order as needed
  • Inspect and maintain cleanliness and organization of boutique and Heart of House areas
  • Respond to inter-boutique transfer requests in a timely manner
  • Support spare parts and alterations supply ordering according to guidelines
  • Partner with boutique management on staff uniform ordering and allocation
  • Coach and support Heart of House team members
  • Actively participate in professional development trainings and change management initiatives
  • Adhere to Chanel Charter standards regarding dress code, grooming, and personal conduct

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of retail operations and/or stock experience
  • Strong knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
  • Customer experience orientation
  • Excellent organizational and detail-oriented skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different departments and teams
  • Ability to lift approximately 15–20 pounds regularly
  • In-store availability required for boutique opening, closing, receiving, and shipping functions

Experience

Compensation

The base compensation for this position ranges from CAD 70,000 to CAD 75,000 per annum.
