Chanel internship: 6-month Operations Assistant Manager role at Paris Fashion boutiques, January 2027. Retail analysis and boutique operations support.
Role & Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze daily retail performance indicators including traffic, average basket size, monthly targets by product line, and commercial outcomes for sales associates
- Analyze product and collection performance including sell-through rates, inventory coverage, slow-moving and bestselling items, and merchandising visibility
- Assist the Operations Manager in coordinating performance indicators and action plans across all boutique departments and stakeholders
- Contribute to new collection purchasing preparations and track sales performance
- Conduct specialized analyses for managers across sales, visual merchandising, and alterations to support data-driven decision-making
- Ensure optimal team integration by onboarding new staff and managing administrative processes including uniforms, access credentials, and IT tools
- Assist managers with team briefing preparations and information meetings, leading selected briefings on boutique performance topics
- Support the Operations Manager in managing general services to maintain boutique image and standards
- Serve as primary liaison with department store teams on behalf of the boutique (where applicable)
- Contribute to optimizing boutique results and performance in alignment with Chanel's commercial strategy and brand image
Qualifications
- Enrolled in or recent graduate of a business school, engineering school, or university program
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated interest in fashion and luxury retail
- Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel including advanced functions and VBA
- Proficiency in PowerPoint
- Fluency in French and English
Skills
Experience
Minimum 6 months of prior experience in analytical roles (finance, management, marketing) and/or boutique operations management
Education
Student enrolled in or recent graduate of a business school, engineering school, or university program
