Role & Responsibilities
- Support the Materials Project Manager in the end‑to‑end development of fabrics, trims and components from concept to production.
- Coordinate sample requests, lab dips and physical prototypes; track timelines and ensure timely supplier follow‑up.
- Liaise with internal teams (product development, quality, sourcing, production) and external suppliers to resolve technical issues.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation: composition sheets, BOMs, testing requests and material specifications.
- Organize and follow up on textile testing and conformity checks with accredited laboratories.
- Update materials databases and PLM entries; ensure version control and accurate archiving of physical samples.
- Assist in cost tracking, material sourcing research and supplier qualification tasks.
- Contribute to project meetings, prepare presentations and summarize action points and deadlines.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program in textiles, materials science, fashion product development, textile engineering or equivalent (alternance/apprenticeship eligible).
- Basic knowledge of textile constructions, fiber types and fabric performance properties.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple samples and tight timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to interact professionally with suppliers and cross‑functional teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data entry; familiarity with PLM systems is advantageous.
- Detail oriented with an interest in quality control, testing protocols and material compliance.

Experience
Student-level — currently pursuing higher education in a relevant discipline. Prior internships or short placements in materials, product development or sourcing are advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Textiles, Materials Science, Textile Engineering, Fashion Product Development or a related field.
