Chanel Materials Development internship in Paris: assist with leather material sourcing, PLM administration, and color management for haute couture collections. Begin February 2027.
Role & Responsibilities
- Coordinate material reference distribution to suppliers and manufacturers; establish and update pilot batch and pre-series availability tracking
- Collect and compile material requirements from the Studio for prototype development; prepare and monitor material orders throughout development phases
- Create and maintain physical and digital Material Boards within the PLM system
- Share color palettes with fabricators and suppliers; monitor reception and availability; participate in color information tracking and consolidation across collections
- Open and update color lines in the PLM system for each collection; ensure reliability and consistency of material and color data
- Develop and maintain best practice guidelines to standardize PLM usage and Leather Division work methods
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently completed a BAC+4/+5 programme (Engineering or equivalent)
- Product sensitivity within luxury and fashion sectors
- Knowledge of leather and/or textile materials
- Fluency in English; Italian preferred
- Proficiency in office software: Excel, Access, PowerPoint
