Chanel is hiring a Markets / Contracts Manager in Vemars. Mid-level role managing contracts, tenders and supplier relationships for the maison.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of commercial contracts and market files, from tender preparation and solicitation to signature and post-award follow-up.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (purchasing, legal, finance, operational teams) to ensure contract compliance, timely delivery and fulfilment of service-level commitments.
- Draft, review and negotiate contractual terms and amendments in collaboration with in-house counsel and procurement leads.
- Oversee supplier relationship management, performance monitoring and dispute resolution, escalating material risks when necessary.
- Maintain accurate contract documentation, dashboards and reporting to support budget control, audits and continuous improvement of procurement processes.
- Support RFP/RFQ processes, supplier selection and evaluations, ensuring transparent governance and adherence to internal procurement policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business administration, procurement, law or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable knowledge of commercial contracts and procurement processes; familiarity with public- or private-sector tendering practices is an asset.
- Strong legal literacy in contract terms, commercial clauses and compliance risk management.
- Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations at multiple levels.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to draft precise contractual documentation.
Skills
Experience
Several years (typically 3–5+) of progressively responsible experience in contract management, procurement or market administration, ideally within retail, fashion, manufacturing or a comparable regulated commercial environment.
Education
Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, procurement, law or a related field; professional training in procurement or contract law is advantageous.
