Chanel Geneva: Managing Counsel overseeing legal and compliance for Supply Chain, Watches & Fine Jewellery Division. GDPR and data privacy expertise required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide strategic legal counsel and compliance guidance on supply chain operations, sourcing, and logistics
- Lead regional compliance initiatives and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards
- Develop and implement data privacy policies and frameworks in accordance with GDPR and other regional regulations
- Advise on contract negotiations, vendor management, and risk mitigation strategies within the supply chain
- Manage litigation, disputes, and legal matters arising from supply chain operations
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal and compliance integration across divisions
- Monitor regulatory developments and implement necessary policy updates
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree recognized in Switzerland or the EU
- Active bar admission in Switzerland, EU jurisdiction, or equivalent legal qualification
- Extensive experience in supply chain law and compliance
- Demonstrated expertise in GDPR and international data privacy regulations
- Knowledge of luxury goods, sourcing, and artisanal manufacturing compliance frameworks
- Fluency in English and French required
Skills
Experience
Minimum 12 years of progressive legal experience, with at least 7 years in supply chain law, compliance, or in-house counsel roles. Prior experience in the luxury goods, watches, or fine jewellery sectors is preferred. Proven track record managing regional legal and compliance teams.
Education
Juris Doctor (JD), Master of Laws (LLM), or equivalent law degree. Additional qualifications in data privacy or international compliance are advantageous.
