Chanel is hiring a Manager, People Data and Analytics in Hong Kong to lead analytics strategy, dashboard development, and data-driven insights for the People & Organisation function.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain semantic data models for advanced KPI tracking, ensuring analytics reflect the nuances of metrics and business logic specific to people analytics
  • Develop interactive custom Power BI dashboards and ensure ongoing support, including bug fixes, enhancements, and regular maintenance cycles
  • Design clear and concise data visualizations for intuitive usage in support of consistent performance tracking and executive storytelling
  • Drive and execute reporting and analytics projects while providing continuous support to People and Organisation stakeholders
  • Analyze and explore datasets to uncover patterns, trends, and performance drivers across domains, markets, and divisions through advanced analytical tools
  • Translate data into actionable insights by combining quantitative analysis with qualitative understanding, enabling informed decision-making across the P&O function
  • Track adoption and business impact of delivered data products, ensuring they remain fit for purpose and support strategic decision-making
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of KPI dictionaries and analytics standards for organizational alignment
  • Continuously improve data models, data pipelines, and overall data products through iterative refinement and best-practice implementation
  • Ensure full compliance with data governance, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements
  • Maintain clear documentation of data sources, definitions, business logic, and dashboard specifications, communicating updates to all stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data modelling, analytics solution development, or closely related disciplines
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks, PySpark, Microsoft Fabric, and SQL
  • Advanced proficiency in Power BI, including semantic modelling and DAX optimization
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex data and analytics for non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with business stakeholders in regional or matrix environments
  • Knowledge of HR processes, people analytics methodologies, and workforce dynamics
  • Experience in the luxury retail sector or high-end consumer goods industry

Experience demonstrating the ability to partner with business stakeholders, translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences, and deliver analytics initiatives that drive organizational impact.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Engineering, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative discipline.
