Chanel is hiring a Manager, Merchandising Execution & Logistics in New York to oversee store execution, inventory flows and retail logistics.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of merchandising programs for the New York retail network, ensuring stores meet visual and commercial standards on schedule.
- Own store inventory flows: coordinate inbound shipment planning, replenishment cadence, stock transfers and returns in partnership with distribution centers and retail operations.
- Manage cross-functional communication between merchandising, visual merchandising, retail operations, supply chain and third‑party logistics providers to resolve executional issues and escalate risks.
- Translate merchandising plans and planograms into actionable store directives, validate fixture and presentation requirements, and verify in‑store compliance.
- Establish and monitor KPIs (on‑shelf availability, fill rates, lead times, shrinkage, store readiness) and deliver continuous improvement initiatives to optimize working capital and service levels.
- Supervise and develop a small team or matrixed project leads; set priorities, assign tasks and manage vendor/agency relationships for fixtures, logistics and installation services.
- Control operational budgets related to store launches, visual installs and logistics; ensure procurement and invoicing adhere to internal policies and timelines.
- Drive process documentation, SOPs and post‑project reviews to institutionalize best practices across the region.
Qualifications
- Proven managerial experience in luxury retail merchandising, store operations or retail logistics; preferably with responsibility for multiple flagship or district stores.
- Strong knowledge of retail inventory management, replenishment methodologies and visual merchandising execution.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional projects, manage external vendors and deliver against tight retail calendars.
- Analytical aptitude with comfort using data to monitor KPIs and make operational decisions.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritise in a fast‑paced environment.

Experience
Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in retail merchandising, store operations or supply chain roles with at least 2 years in a lead or manager capacity within the luxury retail sector.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, merchandising, retail management or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
