Chanel Fashion Expertise Manager in McLean, Virginia—lead boutique training, styling development, and luxury retail coaching across DC market locations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver inspiring in-boutique training sessions on collections, savoir-faire, product knowledge, and luxury service behaviors across multiple boutiques
- Position Chanel as the ultimate fashion house at each collection launch, delivering messaging consistent with global vision yet tailored to local market specificities
- Support retail staff in understanding and transmitting Chanel's fashion singularity and creative vision
- Promote monthly digital learning content and track completion metrics across boutique teams
- Embody the Client Relational Promise and foster a client-centric culture that builds authentic connections
- Coach Style Advisors to enhance personalized styling capabilities, curate cohesive looks, and strengthen individual client relationships
- Animate styling training workshops and strengthen Style Advisor and Fashion Advisor confidence in offering personalized recommendations
- Monitor styling training effectiveness through direct observation and qualitative feedback
- Co-create action plans with Boutique Leadership on Style Advisor development and client opportunity expansion
- Partner with Fashion Expertise Home Office to animate client styling appointments in boutiques and track KPI performance
- Provide client feedback and market insights to Fashion Expertise Home Office
- Identify individual training and coaching needs; tailor development plans in partnership with Boutique Leadership
- Conduct on-site coaching and evaluations, providing structured feedback to drive continuous excellence
- Recognize styling and retail talent; actively support progression toward Style Advisor or Retail Management roles
- Cultivate growth mindset by engaging Boutique Leaders in learning and development initiatives
- Drive transmission of product and style content to maximize collection impact and support business objectives, including strategies for slow-moving inventory
- Partner with Boutique Leadership on service indicators, Voice of Client results, and deliver qualitative insights
- Design and deliver inspiring New Hire onboarding programs supporting understanding of Chanel heritage, DNA, codes, and singularity
- Support Boutique Managers in onboarding delivery, ensuring consistency of the Chanel experience from day one
- Travel frequently across boutiques within the market to provide in-store coaching and support
Qualifications
- Recognized styling expertise and confident fashion flair
- Client-centered mindset with commitment to delivering unforgettable experiences and lasting connections
- Significant experience in luxury fashion, retail, or hospitality with deep understanding of luxury client expectations
- Proven experience in retail training, preferably luxury sector, with demonstrated ability to facilitate, coach, and evaluate
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills with ability to connect authentically with individuals and groups
- Proven ability to manage and motivate, building collaborative, team-focused culture and providing constructive feedback with confidence
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver projects on schedule, and work both independently and transparently
- Sound judgment and autonomy with ability to exercise good decision-making and provide clear updates to management
- Ability to travel frequently across boutiques within the market
- Genuine passion for Chanel heritage, creations, codes, and commitment to social and cultural initiatives
- Minimum 5 years of related experience
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)

Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in luxury fashion, retail training, or luxury hospitality environments, with demonstrated expertise in facilitating training programs, coaching retail teams, and elevating client experiences. Proven track record of developing boutique staff capabilities and driving retail performance through styling expertise and fashion knowledge transmission.
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred; demonstrated expertise in luxury fashion or retail training may substitute for formal education requirements.
