Chanel seeks Manager, Boutique Repairs & Maintenance - Southwest in Los Angeles, CA to oversee regional store repairs, vendor programs and facilities maintenance.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all repairs and facilities maintenance programs for Chanel boutiques across the Southwest region, ensuring continuity of operations and preservation of brand standards.
- Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and reactive repair protocols for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security systems, and boutique fixtures.
- Select, contract and oversee third-party service providers and speciality artisans; negotiate commercial terms, service-level agreements and project scopes.
- Manage regional maintenance budget, approve expenditures, monitor cost-to-serve and drive efficiencies while protecting boutique presentation and safety.
- Coordinate site refurbishments, shopfitting touch-ups and capital improvement projects with store operations, visual merchandising and property teams.
- Implement and enforce health, safety and regulatory compliance across retail sites; conduct regular site inspections and corrective-action follow-up.
- Provide operational reporting and KPIs to regional leadership; maintain accurate work-order, asset and vendor performance records.
- Coach and develop a small team of technicians and contractors; provide training to store managers on basic maintenance protocols and emergency procedures.
Qualifications
- Proven track record in facilities or maintenance management within multi-site retail or luxury environments, with responsibility for vendor programs and budgets.
- Demonstrated ability to manage contractors, negotiate commercial terms and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
- Strong technical knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, security) and shopfitting/fixture maintenance.
- Leadership experience supervising technicians and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, including store operations and visual teams.
- Availability for regional travel across the Southwest and flexibility to respond to after-hours emergencies.
Skills
Experience
At least 5 years of progressive experience in facilities, maintenance or operations management, including multi-site retail or luxury boutique responsibility and hands-on oversight of contractors and technical teams.
Education
Bachelor's degree in facilities management, engineering, construction management or related field preferred; trade certifications or equivalent practical experience also acceptable.
