Chanel in Neuilly‑sur‑Seine seeks a Management Control Assistant (alternance) for the Beauty & Fragrance division, starting September 2026.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support monthly and quarterly financial close activities for the Beauty & Fragrance business, including journal entries, reconciliations and control procedures.
- Consolidate and analyse budget versus actual results; prepare variance explanations and propose corrective actions.
- Contribute to rolling forecasts and annual budgeting cycles; gather inputs from marketing, sales and operations stakeholders.
- Prepare standardised management reports and KPI dashboards for the Finance team and senior stakeholders.
- Perform ad hoc financial and commercial analyses to inform pricing, promotional performance and product profitability.
- Ensure data integrity in financial systems and assist with ERP/BI tool updates and user requests.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (marketing, sales, supply chain) to translate business activity into clear financial insights.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in a recognised bachelor’s or master’s programme in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent and eligible for an alternance (work‑study) contract in France.
- Strong analytical rigor with a methodical approach to controls and reconciliations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to present financial information to non‑financial stakeholders.
- High level of discretion and professional integrity when handling confidential commercial and financial data.
Skills
Experience
Previous internships or short professional experience in financial control, corporate finance or accounting are preferred; experience within luxury goods, cosmetics or consumer goods is an advantage but not mandatory.
Education
Currently studying for a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or a closely related discipline; eligible for alternance (work‑study) in France.
