Role & Responsibilities
- Develop and optimise makeup formulations including textures, performance attributes, robustness, and colour characteristics, conducting associated controls, analyses, and test requests
- Monitor formula industrialisation by identifying process risks, conducting supplementary trials, and validating operational procedures in collaboration with pilot teams
- Conduct studies on identified development challenges, design experiment plans, analyse results, and present findings
- Maintain technological and raw material surveillance specific to lip products
- Serve as formulation reference and technical expert for cross-functional makeup projects, providing technical guidance to project teams
- Participate in laboratory operations including quality assurance, safety, hygiene, logistics, and equipment management
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of professional experience in makeup formulation
- Advanced expertise in makeup textures: emulsions, cast formulations, powders
- In-depth knowledge of organic and mineral pigments
- Technical leadership capabilities and business acumen
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Capacity to function as subject matter expert and technical reference
Skills
Experience
Minimum 10 years in makeup formulation within the cosmetics or beauty industry, demonstrating progressive responsibility in formula development and industrialisation processes.
Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent (Bac +3) in chemistry, formulation, cosmetic science, or related discipline.
