Chanel seeks a Makeup Artist for its New Bond Street boutique in London. Provide luxury make-up services and client consultations.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised makeup consultations and application services to clientele in a high-end retail environment.
- Recommend and sell Chanel beauty products by applying expert product knowledge and tailoring solutions to skin type, tone and lifestyle.
- Manage client appointments, build and maintain a client book, and proactively follow up to nurture long-term relationships.
- Achieve individual and boutique sales targets while accurately recording transactions and service details in the store system.
- Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene and sanitation for brushes, tools and testers; ensure compliance with brand presentation guidelines.
- Support visual merchandising and stock management for the beauty counter, including replenishment and merchandising of testers.
- Participate in brand training, product launches and team briefings; mentor junior staff when required.
Qualifications
- Professional qualification in makeup artistry, cosmetology or equivalent vocational training preferred.
- Proven experience in luxury beauty or high-end retail environments, with demonstrable client-facing success.
- Strong retail sales aptitude with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a client-focused demeanour and polished presentation.
Skills
Experience
Several years of professional experience as a makeup artist or beauty consultant, preferably within luxury cosmetics or premium department store environments. Experience building a repeat client base and achieving sales targets is expected.
Education
Vocational qualification or diploma in makeup artistry, beauty therapy, or cosmetology, or equivalent professional experience.
