Chanel seeks an experienced Maintenance Technician for its Fragrances & Beauty division in Compiègne, France. Full-time permanent role managing production equipment maintenance and industrialisation.
Role & Responsibilities
- Analyse equipment failures and manage downtime using appropriate diagnostic tools and methods
- Propose and implement corrective or temporary solutions, overseeing repairs and validation of remedial actions
- Organise and execute the preventive maintenance schedule for assigned equipment, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors
- Optimise maintenance protocols, document updates, and train production personnel on preventive maintenance procedures
- Lead equipment installation and new product industrialisation projects from specification through commissioning, including testing protocols and remediation
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all equipment, quality procedures, and safety protocols
- Conduct training modules to ensure mastery of new production processes and machinery
- Facilitate and lead cross-functional working groups on equipment and process improvements
Qualifications
- Bac+2 or Bac+3 qualification in maintenance engineering with primary specialisation in automation
- Sound technical knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, electrical systems, automation, and robotics
- Proficiency with production equipment and systems
- Strong organisational and methodical approach to task management
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all organisational levels
- Problem-solving capability with proactive initiative in identifying and proposing process improvements
- Proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office suite
Skills
Experience
Candidates should possess solid professional experience in maintenance roles within a production or industrial environment, ideally within the cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, or consumer goods sectors. Experience with complex multi-line production equipment and cross-functional project management is valued.
Education
Bac+2 or Bac+3 qualification in maintenance engineering, preferably with specialisation in automation or industrial systems.
