Chanel is hiring a Maintenance Technician in Chamant, France to perform preventive and corrective maintenance at its production site.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive, corrective and predictive maintenance on production machinery, building systems and workshop equipment to ensure uninterrupted operations.
  • Diagnose mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic faults and implement timely repairs or adjustments.
  • Execute installation, commissioning and modification of equipment according to technical specifications and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance logs, spare-parts records and update CMMS or maintenance documentation.
  • Coordinate with production, quality and safety teams to prioritize interventions and minimize downtime.
  • Manage external contractors for specialist repairs and ensure supplier work complies with site procedures and brand quality expectations.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, root-cause analysis and reliability projects to optimize equipment performance.
  • Ensure strict compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations; participate in safety audits and risk assessments.

Qualifications

  • Vocational diploma in industrial maintenance, mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent (e.g., Bac Pro, BTS or equivalent technical certification).
  • Electrical authorization (e.g., H0-B0 or equivalent) and experience working safely with live equipment.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems and basic building services (HVAC, plumbing).
  • Ability to read mechanical and electrical schematics and use diagnostic test equipment.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to work occasional off-hours for urgent interventions.
  • Strong adherence to safety procedures and good reporting discipline.
