Chanel seeks a Fashion Advisor in New York, NY to deliver personalised luxury client service and drive sales for ready-to-wear and leather goods.
Role & Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional, personalised client service that reflects the maison’s standards; cultivate long-term relationships with clientele and proactively develop the client book.
- Advise and style clients on ready-to-wear, accessories and leather goods with authoritative product knowledge and impeccable visual presentation.
- Achieve and exceed individual sales targets and contribute to store KPIs through consultative selling and upselling of relevant product categories.
- Manage private client appointments, trunk shows and after-hours fittings, ensuring confidentiality and a seamless luxury experience.
- Operate point-of-sale systems accurately, process transactions and follow company procedures for payments, returns and exchanges.
- Support merchandising and visual guidelines on the sales floor to maintain brand presentation and seasonal floor plans.
- Perform stock control tasks, receive and reconcile shipments, and liaise with inventory and loss-prevention procedures.
- Record client interactions and follow up through CRM to nurture relationships and track purchase history and preferences.
Qualifications
- Authorised to work in the United States.
- Impeccable professional presentation and a client-centric demeanor appropriate for an ultra-luxury environment.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and peak retail periods.
- Discretion, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to manage high-net-worth client relationships.
- Sales-driven mindset with strong numerical accuracy and attention to transactional detail.
Skills
Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ direct experience in luxury retail or with a heritage fashion house; demonstrable track record selling high-end apparel or leather goods and serving VIP clientele.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational qualification or degree in fashion, merchandising or retail management preferred.
