Chanel seeks a Logistics Maintenance Technician in Compiegne — responsible for preventive and corrective maintenance of warehouse and material-handling equipment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on warehouse and logistics equipment, including conveyors, automated material-handling systems, packaging machinery and auxiliary plant.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and pneumatic faults; execute repairs to restore equipment to safe operating condition and minimise downtime.
- Participate in installation, commissioning and modification of logistics equipment; ensure mechanical alignment and electrical connections meet specifications.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders and spare-parts logs; recommend parts replenishment and lifecycle replacement.
- Coordinate with logistics operations, external contractors and vendors for specialist repairs and scheduled shutdowns.
- Apply and enforce safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures and regulatory compliance within the logistics site.
- Contribute to continuous-improvement initiatives focused on equipment reliability, mean time between failures and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Diploma in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, mechatronics or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Proven ability to read electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic schematics and technical documentation.
- Valid certifications as required for mechanical or electrical interventions (where applicable) and authorisation to operate/maintain specific equipment.
- Strong commitment to safety and experience applying lockout/tagout and workplace safety standards.
Skills
Experience
Approximately 3+ years of hands-on experience in industrial or logistics maintenance, preferably within warehouse, distribution or manufacturing environments; prior exposure to automated handling systems is strongly preferred.
Education
Vocational diploma or technical certificate in industrial maintenance, electromechanics, mechatronics or a closely related discipline.
