Chanel seeks a Laboratory Project Manager in Vémars to manage textile testing documentation and quality assurance methodologies in a full-time role.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Write, structure, and maintain comprehensive quality documentation for laboratory operations, including 40+ test protocols, operator training procedures, and equipment maintenance guidelines
  • Adapt documentation to reflect both standardized methods (ISO, EN, AATCC) and proprietary internal methodologies, ensuring version control and full traceability
  • Observe and assess technician practices during test execution; identify gaps between field performance and documented requirements
  • Propose corrective actions and contribute to continuous technical skills development across the laboratory team
  • Support the certification pathway for selected test methods, including feasibility and impact analyses related to standardization of currently internal methods
  • Serve as liaison between laboratory technical expertise and product development teams, validating protocols and integrating feedback into finalized documentation
  • Design and implement simple, project-specific tracking indicators for management reporting and progress oversight
  • Coordinate the migration of quality documentation into the laboratory's future digital document management system

Qualifications

  • Baccalaureate +4 or +5 qualification in textile materials science, process engineering, industrial quality, or equivalent
  • Essential knowledge of textile domain: fibres, structures, mechanical behaviour of textiles and trimmings
  • Familiarity with or strong understanding of textile testing standards (ISO, EN, NF, AATCC)
  • Excellent written communication skills with meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and exercise initiative
  • Relational ease when collaborating across diverse stakeholder groups (technicians, product developers, quality managers)
  • Analytical mindset, rigour, critical thinking, and constructive problem-solving orientation
