Role & Responsibilities
- Support the tax department in the preparation and filing of corporate tax returns, VAT declarations and other statutory tax compliance obligations for French entities and selected international subsidiaries.
- Conduct tax research and prepare concise legal and technical memoranda on domestic and cross-border tax issues, including corporate income tax, VAT and payroll taxes.
- Assist with tax accounting and reporting tasks under applicable accounting frameworks (tax provisions, deferred taxes) and contribute to month‑end/quarter‑end close deliverables as required.
- Liaise with external advisors, auditors and local finance teams to coordinate information requests, assist during tax audits and implement tax positions agreed with external counsel.
- Contribute to transactional support and tax due diligence for corporate projects, and assist in implementing transfer pricing documentation and compliance where applicable.
- Maintain up-to-date tax documentation, internal procedures and control records; propose improvements to processes to enhance compliance and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Tax Law, Accounting, Finance or equivalent; formation complémentaire en fiscalité appreciated.
- 1–3 years' practical experience in a tax team — either in a Big Four or in-house tax department — with exposure to corporate tax and indirect tax compliance.
- Solid knowledge of French tax legislation and practical experience with VAT and corporate tax procedures.
- Excellent analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail and the ability to summarise complex technical issues in clear written form.

Typically 1–3 years of relevant tax experience in a professional services firm (Big Four) or within an in‑house tax/finance function, with demonstrable exposure to corporate income tax and indirect taxes.
Education
Master's degree in Tax Law, Accounting, Finance or equivalent; specialised coursework or certification in taxation is a strong advantage.
