Chanel Junior Tailor position in Berlin; support boutique alterations and bespoke tailoring on luxury collections. Full-time, fixed-term.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the head seamstress with all alterations and adjustments to Chanel's exclusive prêt-à-porter collections
- Provide independent client consultation regarding bespoke tailoring requests and customization options
- Collaborate with Fashion Advisors to align alterations with customer expectations and house standards
- Continuously develop technical expertise and tailoring methodology in accordance with Chanel's atelier guidelines
- Assist with organizational and operational tasks within the tailoring workshop
Qualifications
- Completed vocational training as a tailor (Maßschneider:in qualification or equivalent)
- First professional experience in high-end fashion alteration and tailoring
- Meticulous, precise approach to craftsmanship and quality standards
- Fluency in German and English; additional languages advantageous
Skills
Experience
Entry-level professional experience in luxury fashion tailoring or high-end garment alteration is required; completed formal tailoring apprenticeship (Ausbildung) is essential.
Education
Successful completion of recognized vocational training in tailoring (Maßschneider:in apprenticeship or equivalent qualification).
