Role & Responsibilities
- Perform high-precision polishing, refinishing, and restoration of fine jewelry pieces in accordance with Maison standards, including 18kt gold, platinum, and rhodium-plated white gold
- Execute specialized jewelry services including chain sizing, clasp replacement, ring sizing, post addition and removal, and mechanical engraving
- Identify and report potential risks, defects, or authenticity issues during the repair process to aftersales supervisors and management
- Maintain strict adherence to quality, safety, and handling procedures for high-value pieces
- Collaborate closely with aftersales repair teams, quality control personnel, and management to meet turnaround timelines
- Ensure workstations, tools, and polishing equipment are maintained to luxury workshop standards
- Support inventory control, replenishment, and management of repair materials and spare parts
- Log repairs accurately, track progress, and maintain organized repair records
- Participate in technical training provided by the Regional Workshop and Fine Jewelry Trainer
- Uphold discretion and confidentiality regarding client pieces and Maison intellectual property
Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience as a jewelry polisher or artisan, preferably within luxury jewelry or high-end craftsmanship environments
- Expert knowledge of precious metals including gold alloys, platinum, and silver, with proficiency in polishing and finishing techniques
- Demonstrated expertise in using polishing equipment and laser welders
- Proven ability to work efficiently on high-value and complex jewelry pieces while maintaining impeccable quality standards
- Manual dexterity, steady hands, and excellent visual acuity
- Computer literacy for repair tracking and claims management systems
- Physical capability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs regularly
Skills
Experience
Minimum 3–5 years of professional experience as a jewelry polisher or restoration artisan, preferably within luxury jewelry, high-end watchmaking, or comparable craftsmanship environments. Demonstrated expertise in working with fine jewelry pieces, precious metals, and restoration techniques is essential. Experience in aftersales or workshop environments within the luxury sector is highly valued.
Education
Technical training in jewelry repair, fine jewelry craftsmanship, or equivalent hands-on apprenticeship is required. Formal certification in jewelry repair or precious metals work is preferred but not mandatory if substantial professional experience is demonstrated.
