Chanel in Paris seeks a Jewellery Design Studio Assistant (Intern) for Sept 2026 — support high-jewellery design, prototyping and studio activities.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the jewellery design studio in the preparation and development of design concepts, mood boards and technical sketches.
- Produce hand sketches and assist with technical drawings and specifications for prototypes and partners.
- Participate in material and gemstone research, sample follow-ups and atelier fittings to ensure designs meet creative and technical expectations.
- Assist in model-making activities and prepare documentation for internal reviews and supplier briefings.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (stone sourcing, bench work, production) and maintain organised studio archives and project files.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree in jewellery design, product/industrial design, fine arts or a closely related discipline.
- Portfolio demonstrating strong sketching ability, a sense of proportion and an understanding of jewellery construction.
- Strong attention to detail, organisational rigour and ability to work to deadlines in a studio environment.
- Discreet professional demeanour and ability to collaborate respectfully with senior designers and artisans.
Skills
Experience
Practical experience through prior internships or academic projects in a jewellery or product design studio is preferred; a persuasive portfolio of jewellery projects is essential.
Education
Currently enrolled in or recently completed a bachelor's or master's program in Jewellery Design, Product/Industrial Design, Fine Arts or an equivalent discipline.
