Chanel in Paris seeks an IT Solution Manager — Collections Development (permanent). Lead PLM and product development IT solutions across design and production.
Role & Responsibilities
- Define and own the IT solution roadmap for collections development and product lifecycle processes, aligning technology initiatives with business strategy.
- Lead end‑to‑end delivery of projects and releases: requirements gathering, solution design, vendor selection, implementation, testing and deployment.
- Act as principal liaison between IT and cross‑functional stakeholders in design, product development, sourcing, production and merchandising to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Manage third‑party vendors and systems integrators, including contractual oversight, SLAs and delivery quality control.
- Ensure robust data governance and integrity across PLM/PDM, ERP and ancillary systems; implement integration patterns and APIs to maintain synchronized product data.
- Drive user adoption through change management, training programs and creation of operational documentation and support procedures.
- Monitor solution performance and KPIs; propose continuous improvements and optimizations to reduce time‑to‑market and operational friction.
- Uphold information security, compliance and operational resilience standards for collections development systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred.
- Proven experience leading IT solutions or applications in product development/collections environments, ideally within fashion, luxury goods or retail.
- Demonstrable track record of delivering PLM/PDM or related product‑data initiatives and integrating them with ERP (e.g., SAP) and other enterprise systems.
- Strong stakeholder management and vendor governance capabilities across multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Project management proficiency; certifications such as PMP, Prince2 or Scrum Master are advantageous.

Experience
Typically 5+ years in IT application or solution roles with at least 2–3 years focused on product lifecycle/collections systems; experience in luxury fashion or consumer goods strongly preferred.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or equivalent; Master’s degree or advanced technical/business qualification preferred.
