Chanel recruits a Legal Counsel for its IP Litigation & Anticounterfeit unit in Neuilly-sur-Seine, France. Intellectual property law expertise required.
Role & Responsibilities
- Contribute to anti-counterfeiting efforts and Maison creation protection through regular engagement with government authorities and delivery of internal and external anti-counterfeiting training
- Prepare customs files and draft formal complaints and cease-and-desist correspondence
- Develop litigation files and legal memoranda for intellectual property disputes
- Author policy documents, guidelines, procedural frameworks, and presentation materials
- Conduct legal surveillance and perform comprehensive legal research across IP jurisprudence and regulatory developments
- Deliver biannual reviews of case law and legal news updates to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Intellectual Property Law, Media & Communications Law, Cultural Heritage Law, or equivalent postgraduate qualification in IP law
- Advanced English language proficiency
- Proficiency with core productivity software including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated experience in intellectual property law practice, either in a law firm or in-house counsel environment, with particular focus on IP litigation and dispute resolution

Experience
Successful professional experience in IP law within either a law firm or corporate legal environment, with demonstrated expertise in intellectual property litigation and contentious matters.
Education
Master's degree (Master 2) in Intellectual Property Law, Media & Communications Law, Cultural Heritage Law, or accredited postgraduate law qualification in IP practice.
