Chanel is hiring an Inventory Supervisor in Bal Harbour, FL. Lead stock operations and loss-prevention for a luxury boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Oversee daily inventory operations for the Bal Harbour boutique, ensuring stock accuracy, availability and presentation consistent with brand standards.
- Direct and coach the stockroom team on receiving, labelling, storing and staging merchandise for sales floor replenishment and client requests.
- Plan and execute regular cycle counts, physical inventories and reconciliations; investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions to minimize shrinkage.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with regional distribution, courier partners and in-store receiving to guarantee timely deliveries and transfers.
- Maintain inventory records and produce operational reports for store leadership and regional teams, identifying trends and opportunities to optimise stock levels.
- Enforce loss-prevention protocols and secure handling of high-value merchandise, ensuring compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
- Support merchandising and visual teams with stock allocations, replenishment plans and floor moves to maximise sell-through and client service.
- Contribute to training, performance evaluations and scheduling for the inventory team to sustain high standards of execution and client confidentiality.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in retail inventory or stock control, preferably within a luxury fashion or accessories environment.
- Strong numeracy, meticulous attention to detail and demonstrated ability to reconcile complex stock variances.
- Familiarity with inventory processes including cycle counting, receiving, transfers and loss-prevention procedures.
- Capable of leading a small team with clear communication, coaching and accountability.
- Proficiency with inventory reporting and basic data analysis to support operational decisions.
- High level of discretion when handling high-value goods and client information.
Skills
Experience
Typically requires 3+ years of retail inventory experience with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or lead role; prior exposure to luxury or premium merchandise is strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary study in retail management, logistics or a related field preferred.
