Chanel in Boca Raton, FL seeks an Inventory Specialist to manage in-store stock, cycle counts and loss-prevention for a luxury boutique.
Role & Responsibilities
- Own day-to-day in-store inventory operations including receiving, putaway, transfers and stock replenishment to maintain presentation standards
- Execute regular cycle counts and full physical inventories; investigate and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and system records
- Maintain accurate inventory records and prepare timely reports for store management and regional distribution partners
- Manage security protocols and loss-prevention measures to protect high-value merchandise; liaise with loss-prevention teams as required
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics with the distribution centre and other boutiques, ensuring adherence to Chanel SOPs
- Support visual merchandising and sales teams by controlling stock flow for floor sets, client requests, and special events
- Operate handheld scanners and inventory devices, ensuring data integrity when updating POS and inventory systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in business, logistics, or retail preferred
- Proven integrity, discretion and respect for confidentiality when handling high-value inventory
- Strong numerical accuracy, attention to detail and organisational discipline
- Ability to lift and move merchandise and to stand for extended periods during stock operations
- Authorization to work in the United States
Skills
Experience
Typically 2+ years of hands-on inventory, stockroom or logistics experience in a retail environment; experience in luxury or high-value goods retail strongly preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary credential in logistics, supply chain or retail operations preferred.
