Chanel in Beverly Hills, CA seeks an Inventory Specialist to manage stock control, cycle counts and loss prevention for its boutique.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Execute and maintain accurate stock control through daily receiving, put-away, labeling and timely recording of inventory movements.
  • Plan and perform regular cycle counts and full inventory audits; reconcile variances and prepare detailed discrepancy reports for management.
  • Operate handheld scanners and the store ERP/POS to update stock levels, process transfers, returns and vendor claims in accordance with Chanel procedures.
  • Implement shrinkage-prevention measures and maintain loss-prevention logs, collaborating with store leadership and security teams.
  • Organize and maintain a boutique-calibre stockroom: systematize product storage, packaging standards and merchandising support for sales floor replenishment.
  • Coordinate inter-store and centralized warehouse transfers, incoming shipments and markdowns while ensuring compliance with brand quality standards.
  • Train and coach store colleagues on stockroom best practices, receiving protocols and inventory control workflows.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary credential in logistics, retail management or supply-chain is preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in inventory control, stockroom operations or logistics within fashion or luxury retail.
  • Impeccable attention to detail, strong numeracy and an ability to work methodically under time constraints.
  • Physical capability to lift and move merchandise, stand for extended periods and manage stockroom organization.
  • Professional demeanor and sensitivity to luxury client service standards; able to interact discreetly with clients and sales teams.
