Role & Responsibilities
- Execute daily stockroom operations including receiving, unpacking and accurately recording incoming merchandise.
- Perform regular cycle counts and full inventory reconciliations; investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.
- Maintain and update inventory records in the store's inventory management system and POS.
- Coordinate with store management, visual merchandising and distribution to optimize stock levels and availability.
- Implement and enforce loss-prevention procedures and stock security protocols.
- Prepare inventory reports and KPIs for Store Manager and regional operations teams.
- Assist with merchandise transfers, returns to warehouse and seasonal stock set-ups.
- Ensure stockroom organization, product care and compliance with brand presentation standards.
Qualifications
- Demonstrable numerical accuracy and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced retail environment.
- High level of discretion and professionalism when handling high-value merchandise and client information.
- Physical ability to handle stock handling duties, including lifting and moving merchandise safely.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to support peak retail hours and store needs.
Skills
Experience
Typically 2+ years of inventory, stock control or logistics experience in retail, ideally within luxury fashion or premium retail environments. Proven experience with cycle counts, discrepancy investigation and store-level inventory systems is preferred.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or coursework in logistics, supply chain, business or related field preferred.
