Chanel seeks a management accounting intern in Geneva, Switzerland to support the regional perfumes and beauty control team across seven global markets.
Role & Responsibilities
- Track regional revenue and analyze retail and wholesale activity on a weekly basis, maintaining alignment across the Swiss Markets Region
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies within the business intelligence system to ensure high-quality reporting standards
- Assist the regional team in monitoring store openings and closures using a global tracking tool on a monthly frequency
- Prepare and contribute to management presentations on a monthly basis
- Participate in the monthly perfumes and beauty regional entity closure process, including budget updates and forecasting
- Conduct and lead departmental budget review meetings to communicate variances and performance against plan
- Contribute to the development of budgets, reforecasts, and regional consolidations
- Propose process improvements including new reporting formats, automation opportunities, and best practice recommendations
- Support ad-hoc analytical and reporting projects as required
Qualifications
- Currently in the final year of studies at a business school, engineering school, or university with a specialization in finance
- Proven prior internship or work experience in management accounting, audit, or finance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel with advanced capabilities
- Competent in PowerPoint for presentations
- Strong command of English (required) and French (fluent)
Skills
Experience
Successful completion of at least one prior internship or professional engagement in management accounting, audit, or finance disciplines. Demonstrated experience with financial reporting systems and analytical tools.
Education
Currently enrolled in the final year of a business school, engineering school, or university degree program with a specialization or major concentration in finance or accounting.
