Chanel seeks IP Intern in Geneva, Switzerland to support trademark, design and domain name portfolio management across international jurisdictions. 6-month internship starting January 2027.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Handle clearance, protection and enforcement of international trademark, design and domain name portfolios across diverse jurisdictions including Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Russia, Turkey, Poland, Scandinavia, India and Latin America
  • Execute short- and longer-term IP portfolio enhancement projects in coordination with attorneys and paralegals, including auditing of existing rights and supplementing protection
  • Conduct preliminary online research and support enforcement cases under attorney supervision
  • Collate and organize documentary evidence required for legal actions and well-known mark recognition proceedings across multiple jurisdictions
  • Perform legal research on IP topics in key markets, liaise with external lawyer networks, and analyze results in chart format
  • Prepare and finalize template letters and legal correspondence
  • Manage and process IP-related documents and databases

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in law completed or currently enrolled
  • Specialization in Intellectual Property with strong knowledge of trademarks and designs
  • Advanced level written and spoken English
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to work independently with light supervision and collaboratively within a team
  • Attention to detail and critical thinking skills
