Role & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the indirect procurement strategy across assigned categories (e.g., marketing, IT, facilities, logistics, professional services, travel, MRO).
- Develop category plans and lead sourcing events (RFP/RFQ/e-auctions), supplier selection and contracting to achieve commercial and operational objectives.
- Negotiate supplier agreements and commercial terms to capture cost savings, improve total cost of ownership and secure favourable service levels.
- Manage supplier relationships and performance through SLAs, KPIs, risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (finance, legal, IT, marketing, retail operations) to translate business requirements into sourcing solutions and ensure contract compliance.
- Implement procurement governance, policies and controls, ensuring contractual, regulatory and ethical compliance, including sustainability and CSR requirements.
- Leverage procurement systems and analytics to monitor spend, measure savings, maintain supplier data and produce management reporting.
- Lead or mentor procurement team members and stakeholders to build category capability and sourcing discipline.
- Manage budgets, forecasts and supplier transition activities for assigned categories.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, business administration or a related discipline; advanced degree preferred.
- Professional procurement certification (CIPS, CPSM or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Proven commercial acumen with strong negotiation and contract-management capabilities.
- Demonstrable experience implementing category strategies and delivering measurable savings and supplier performance improvements.
- Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills; ability to influence senior leaders and lead cross-functional projects.
- High standards of ethics and experience managing supplier risk and compliance programmes.

Experience
Minimum of 5 years' progressive procurement experience with at least 3 years focused on indirect categories; demonstrable track record in leading sourcing initiatives, supplier negotiations and delivering commercial outcomes. Experience in retail, luxury goods, FMCG or professional services and exposure to regional (APAC) sourcing is advantageous.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, procurement, business administration or related field; master's or professional procurement certification preferred.
