Chanel — Paris: CDD Human Resources Officer. Fixed-term HR generalist to manage recruitment, employee relations and HR administration.
Role & Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end HR administration for a defined employee population: contracts (including CDD lifecycle), personnel file maintenance and statutory record-keeping.
- Coordinate recruitment and onboarding activities in partnership with hiring managers, including candidate screening, interviews and integration programs.
- Advise managers and employees on French labour law, company policies and employee relations matters; escalate complex cases to senior HR or legal teams.
- Support payroll processes by preparing inputs, verifying contractual elements and liaising with payroll providers or service centres.
- Contribute to social dialogue and compliance activities, preparing documentation for meetings with employee representatives and assisting with statutory obligations.
- Maintain and develop HRIS records and standard reports; produce HR metrics and ad hoc analyses to inform local HR decisions.
- Implement and administer training, talent development and internal mobility initiatives in collaboration with the People & Learning teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or equivalent.
- Solid knowledge of French labour law and practical experience with CDD contracts and social dialogue procedures.
- Strong organisational aptitude with meticulous attention to contractual and regulatory detail.
- Excellent interpersonal skills; able to build credibility with managers, employees and employee representatives.
- Proven ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced, confidential environment and to manage competing priorities.

Experience
Approximately 2–4 years of hands-on HR generalist experience, preferably within luxury goods, retail or a corporate environment; demonstrable exposure to French employment law and CDD contract management.
Education
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or a related discipline.

The successful candidate will be located in Paris, Île-de-France, France.
