Chanel seeks an HR Manager for its Chamant beauty and fragrance manufacturing facility in France. Lead HR strategy, talent development and employee engagement in this full-time role reporting to the site HR Director.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as a strategic HR partner to site management, defining and implementing HR strategies, supporting transformation projects and ensuring alignment of HR policies with business priorities
- Oversee and coordinate all HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, talent development, performance management, mobility and compensation policy in close collaboration with group HR experts
- Lead attraction, retention and development initiatives to strengthen site expertise and enhance employee progression, contributing to site attractiveness and employer brand through local partnerships
- Cultivate a climate of trust, openness and engagement through close proximity to teams, actively supporting change management initiatives and fostering collective commitment
- Manage HR budgets responsibly, leverage HR data analytics to inform decision-making and support team performance
- Participate in promoting safety and quality culture through audits, compliance initiatives and awareness-raising activities
- Champion diversity, equity and inclusion practices, ensuring a respectful and inclusive workplace environment
Qualifications
- University degree (Business School, Sciences Po, Master's degree in HR, MBA with HR specialisation)
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources in a generalist role, ideally in an industrial environment
- Sound knowledge of labour law fundamentals ensuring compliance of HR practices and ability to manage standard employment law matters
- Capability to coordinate and deploy HR initiatives (recruitment, talent development, performance management, mobility) whilst meeting deadlines and objectives
- Comfortable with HR data analysis and ability to use indicators to drive business performance and support team effectiveness
- Natural proximity to teams and field operations, creating a climate of trust, accountability and openness
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong team spirit, service mindset and ability to work cross-functionally with expert functions and advise managers
- Active listening, empathy and communication skills facilitating change management and handling diverse situations
- Results-oriented approach with strong sense of responsibility and ability to advise and challenge managers
- Demonstrated integrity, confidentiality and adherence to ethical standards
Skills
Experience
Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Human Resources in a generalist capacity, with preference for candidates who have worked in industrial or manufacturing environments. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated progressive responsibility in HR strategy, policy development and implementation, and will have proven ability to manage multiple HR workstreams simultaneously whilst maintaining operational excellence.
Education
University degree at Bac+5 level, such as a Business School diploma, Sciences Po degree, Master's in Human Resources or MBA with HR specialisation.
Workplace
The successful candidate will be located in Chamant, Oise, France, with easy access to Paris.
