Chanel is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner in Vancouver to lead HR strategy and partner with local leadership.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as strategic HR partner to local and regional leadership, aligning people strategy with business objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Drive talent management initiatives including workforce planning, succession planning, performance management and leadership development.
  • Provide expert advice and hands‑on support in employee relations, conflict resolution and progressive disciplinary processes, ensuring compliance with local employment legislation.
  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to attract, assess and onboard high‑calibre candidates for both retail and corporate roles.
  • Lead change management efforts for organizational design, restructures and new ways of working, communicating effectively to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Implement and monitor HR programs and policies in coordination with global HR teams, translating global frameworks into local practice.
  • Analyse HR metrics and prepare actionable reporting to inform decision‑making on retention, engagement and workforce trends.
  • Coach managers on people‑management best practices, performance calibration and development planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years progressive HR experience, ideally as an HR Business Partner or senior HR generalist.
  • Demonstrable experience partnering with senior leaders and managing complex employee relations matters.
  • Experience in retail, luxury goods, consumer products or a similarly fast‑paced, customer‑facing industry preferred.
  • Professional HR designation (e.g., CHRP/CHRL) or equivalent credential preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of British Columbia employment standards and relevant HR legislation.

Experience

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field; a master’s degree or recognized HR designation is an asset.
