Chanel is hiring a Host in Vancouver — front-of-house role welcoming clients at the boutique and managing appointments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Serve as the boutique's primary point of welcome, greeting clients with poise and discretion and managing the flow of arrivals and departures.
- Manage appointment bookings, waiting lists and client diaries; coordinate private appointments and in-store client experiences with Sales Advisors and management.
- Field telephone and email inquiries, provide concise information on services and product availability, and direct requests to appropriate specialists.
- Maintain the presentation and functionality of the front-of-house area; ensure the reception and waiting areas reflect Chanel’s brand standards.
- Support sales and clienteling activities by preparing the boutique for appointments, logging client interactions and escalating follow-ups to the CRM/retail team.
- Assist with light administrative tasks including guest lists for events, coat check or cloakroom duties, and basic point-of-contact cash/transaction support when required.
Qualifications
- Polished, professional presentation with impeccable interpersonal skills and a client-first demeanour.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in luxury retail, high-end hospitality or guest services; experience in a boutique environment preferred.
- Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette; ability to manage multiple requests with discretion and calm.
- Strong organisational skills, punctuality and reliable time management; comfortable coordinating diaries and appointments.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and occasional evenings for events; understanding of privacy and client confidentiality.
Skills
Experience
At least one year of customer-facing experience in luxury retail, boutique hospitality, or high-end guest services; experience coordinating appointments and supporting sales teams is highly valued.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in hospitality or retail merchandising is advantageous.
