Chanel is hiring a Contract High‑End Merchandiser — Haute Horlogerie in Paris. CDD role managing watch assortments, allocations and retail performance.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute merchandising plans and assortment strategies for the haute horlogerie collection across Chanel retail and selective wholesale channels.
  • Define product allocations, replenishment priorities and launch sequencing in coordination with retail, wholesale and supply teams.
  • Analyse sales performance, sell‑through and inventory metrics to optimise assortment, pricing and promotional activity.
  • Collaborate with product development, design and production stakeholders to align merchandising calendars with new launches and limited editions.
  • Ensure visual‑merchandising and brand presentation standards are applied consistently in boutiques and partner points of sale.
  • Prepare trading tools and commercial documentation (sell‑in presentations, sell‑through reports, KPI dashboards) for internal stakeholders.
  • Support seasonal forecasting, open‑to‑buy processes and stock ageing management to minimise markdown exposure.
  • Liaise with regional managers and store teams to translate merchandising strategy into local execution while safeguarding brand integrity.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in merchandising or buying within luxury watches, high‑jewellery or premium watchmaking (preferably at brand or selective retail level).
  • Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated ability to interpret retail KPIs and drive assortment decisions.
  • Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage cross‑functional stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Fluency in French and professional working proficiency in English is highly advantageous (language requirements to be confirmed by the employer).
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience producing sell‑through analysis and basic forecasting models.
