Chanel is hiring a Health, Safety & Environment Engineer (Work‑Study) in Pantin — alternance HSE role at Chanel, Pantin.
Role & Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of health, safety and environmental (HSE) management systems at the Pantin site.
- Conduct site risk assessments, job‑hazard analyses and regular workplace inspections; propose corrective and preventive actions.
- Assist with incident investigations, root‑cause analysis and implementation of remediation plans.
- Contribute to environmental monitoring, waste management, emissions tracking and regulatory compliance activities.
- Prepare and maintain HSE documentation: procedures, permits, checklists and compliance records.
- Support internal audits and third‑party inspections; track non‑conformities and follow through to resolution.
- Deliver or co‑ordinate HSE training and awareness sessions for operational teams.
- Collect and analyse HSE data, produce reports and KPIs to support management decision‑making.
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited engineering or university programme in Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering or equivalent (Bac+4/5 preferred) under an alternance/work‑study contract.
- Knowledge of occupational health & safety and environmental legislation applicable in France.
- Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 principles and their practical application.
- Strong analytical skills and facility with data collection and reporting.
- Able to work on site, liaise with multidisciplinary teams and communicate technical topics clearly.
- Eligibility for an alternance contract in France for the duration of the programme.

Experience
Designed for a candidate in a work‑study programme; prior internships or project experience in HSE, industrial operations or environmental management is advantageous but not mandatory.
Education
Enrolled in an engineering school or university programme in HSE, Environmental Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent (Bac+4/5 level) and eligible for alternance.
