Chanel Toronto – Head of Retail Education. Lead Fragrance & Beauty training programs and manage a team of four professionals in this maternity-leave contract role.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, develop, and motivate a team of four Retail Education professionals to foster a collaborative, high-performing culture
- Design, develop, and facilitate comprehensive training programs across brand culture, product knowledge, selling ceremony, client development, and leadership capabilities
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and cross-functional teams to build and manage the annual education calendar aligned with seasonal launches and business priorities
- Serve as the key liaison between field teams and corporate, ensuring clear, timely, and actionable communication
- Assess field learning and development needs on an ongoing basis and provide tailored coaching and recommendations
- Evaluate the effectiveness of existing education initiatives and enhance or create programs based on business needs and field feedback
- Review productivity reporting and key performance indicators with field leadership and store management to identify opportunities and establish objectives
- Support the adoption of virtual and digital learning tools to deliver scalable, engaging education experiences
- Champion Chanel brand culture to elevate the ultimate luxury client experience across all points of sale
- Travel regularly across Canada to support education activities, field coaching, product launches, and business initiatives
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading and developing teams in retail, education, or training environments within the luxury sector
- Demonstrated expertise in designing and delivering high-impact training programs
- Strong cross-functional collaboration experience with Sales, Marketing, and Retail teams
- Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and optimizing training initiatives based on performance metrics
- Ability to travel regularly across a geographic region
Skills
Experience
Minimum 8–10 years of progressive experience in retail education, training and development, or learning management, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or supervisory capacity within a luxury goods environment.
Education
Bachelor's degree in business, education, human resources, or a related field; additional certification in instructional design, adult learning, or organizational development is preferred.
