Chanel seeks Head of Financial Planning & Analysis for North Asia region based in Hong Kong. Senior finance leadership role managing strategic FP&A, performance management.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic financial insights to the regional president and North Asia leadership team for annual planning and multi-year projections
  • Lead systematic KPI reporting and executive performance review packs measuring in-year business performance and long-term value drivers
  • Integrate macroeconomic trends, competitive intelligence, and performance drivers into holistic business analysis, translating findings into strategic recommendations
  • Partner with regional CFO and divisional teams to project real estate opportunities, new business initiatives, acquisitions, divestitures, and organizational transformation projects
  • Drive benchmarking to set improvement goals in retail productivity, boutique expense management, and campaign effectiveness
  • Oversee P&L and cash delivery orchestration, balance sheet management, and financial controls with strong accounting governance
  • Steer real estate finance agenda including business cases and capital expenditure requests in partnership with Regional Real Estate and Global FP&A
  • Ensure rigorous financial governance across project portfolios in close partnership with CIO, Digital Directors, and President's Office
  • Lead regional sustainability performance oversight and ESG reporting, connecting enterprise agenda to net zero and climate transition initiatives
  • Lead business planning, financial forecasting, and budgeting processes for short-term, annual, and multi-year Sales, Profit, and Cash targets
  • Establish process ownership to enhance financial planning capabilities, driving BI and AI use cases and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assess and improve financial processes and systems through digital enablement to simplify operations and increase efficiency
  • Bring external benchmarks and best practices into the organization to strengthen decision quality and modernize finance operations
  • Support regional CFO in landing finance capability framework and strengthening talent pipeline
  • Cultivate a culture of curiosity, trust, and courage while demonstrating commitment to team development and community engagement
  • Foster strong FP&A and business partnership community across market and regional teams, promoting shared learning and consistency

Qualifications

  • Relevant postgraduate degree or accounting qualifications
  • Minimum 10 years of senior management experience in a matrixed multinational consumer goods or retail company
  • 20 years of comprehensive finance experience across core finance disciplines including strategic planning, FP&A, accounting, audit, and finance transformation
  • Strong commercial and business acumen with demonstrated understanding of long-term value drivers
  • Exceptional data and analytics capability with proven ability to translate insight into business performance
  • Demonstrated experience in finance and data transformation, information management, and multi-country senior finance assignments
  • Fluency in English is essential

Experience

Experience with finance transformation initiatives, multi-country assignments, and data analytics is highly valued.

Education

Relevant postgraduate degree or professional accounting qualifications (such as CPA, CA, ACCA, or equivalent).
