Chanel in Paris seeks a Head of Fashion Operations Planning, Performance & Transformation — lead planning, KPIs and transformation programmes for fashion operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Define and own the end-to-end operations planning strategy for fashion categories, aligning demand forecasts, inventory policies and replenishment with commercial objectives.
  • Design, monitor and continuously refine performance metrics and KPIs to measure planning effectiveness, stock efficiency and service levels across channels.
  • Lead multi-year transformation programmes to modernise planning processes, governance and ways of working; sponsor change management and adoption activities.
  • Partner closely with merchandising, product development, supply chain, manufacturing and finance to ensure integrated planning and scenario-based decision making.
  • Translate business priorities into operational plans, capacity allocations and inventory scenarios; provide actionable guidance to commercial and operational teams.
  • Establish robust reporting and analytic frameworks to surface root causes, run simulations and support executive-level decision making.
  • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing planning team, defining roles, KPIs and career development pathways.
  • Manage stakeholders across regions and functions, ensuring timely communication of risks, mitigations and performance outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in planning, supply chain or operations roles within fashion, luxury retail or apparel manufacturing.
  • Experience leading transformation programmes or large-scale process redesigns, with demonstrated change-management capability.
  • Strong leadership experience, including team management and cross-functional influence at senior stakeholder levels.
  • Advanced analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, build business cases and present succinctly to executive committees.
  • Excellent project management skills and comfort operating in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
  • Fluency in business reporting and performance governance; ability to set and enforce rigorous KPIs.

Experience
