Chanel seeks Head of E-Business in Tokyo to lead digital transformation and omnichannel strategy across Japan market operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Drive digital transformation across the organization by building shared understanding of the evolving digital landscape and its impact on client experience
  • Serve as key liaison between Japan market operations and global headquarters, ensuring local market insights and business needs are reflected in strategic decisions
  • Protect and elevate brand image across all digital channels, ensuring every online initiative reflects luxury brand standards and ambition
  • Define and lead comprehensive e-business strategy, including platform positioning, target client profiles, and key performance indicators for each digital channel
  • Oversee e-business performance including profit and loss management, KPI setting, business planning, sales planning, and forecasting across CHANEL.com, ZOZO, and e-retail platforms
  • Set and optimize marketing and sales calendar for each digital platform in close collaboration with Marketing, Retail, Creative, and cross-functional teams
  • Lead, coach, and develop the e-business team, identifying future leaders and nurturing talent to support long-term organizational growth

Qualifications

  • Substantial experience in e-commerce and e-retail business management
  • Demonstrated experience in team leadership and people management
  • Proven experience implementing new business systems
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex, matrixed environments with multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Fluent English proficiency with strong communication skills in an international business context
