Chanel seeks Head of Boutique in Harbin to lead luxury fashion boutique operations, team management, and brand experience execution.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Model the brand image and act as Brand Ambassador to all audiences, ensuring consistent communication with corporate partners including landlords, public relations, media, and local authorities
  • Ensure boutique displays, ambience, and visual merchandising reflect the essence of collections and brand story; proactively identify opportunities to enhance the boutique environment and professional image of team members
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the boutique team with focus on succession planning, individual development plans, and career progression in collaboration with People & Organization department
  • Translate brand and retail strategy into consistent boutique execution across brand, service, people, client experience, operations, and business performance
  • Develop and champion a client-centric culture; partner with Marketing & CEM teams to deploy analytical metrics and define in-boutique strategies for relevant client segments, particularly Elite clients
  • Ensure unsurpassed client experience through innovative retail excellence; proactively review service improvements based on CSS results, client feedback, and other indicators
  • Work closely with Retail and Product teams to ensure optimal stock levels, productive product flow, and regular qualitative feedback on merchandise performance
  • Develop annual and category targets with Head of Retail; monitor and forecast financial targets on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, analyzing statistics and taking appropriate action
  • Connect critical KPIs—including category, clienteling, service, sell-through, appointment, and follow-up metrics—to identify boutique growth opportunities and generate innovative test-and-learn initiatives
  • Plan and leverage workforce deployment to maximize staff strength according to traffic demands and trading patterns; adhere consistently to all operational procedures regarding sales, discounts, transfers, and stock adjustments
  • Enforce procedures and processes to eradicate stock losses and discrepancies; regularly examine control processes and liaise with other boutiques and warehouse for smooth stock transfers
  • Form close partnerships across Divisions and corporate functions (IT, Finance, People & Organization, Logistics, Communications) as well as within the Fashion team (Visual Merchandising, Marketing, Product, Public Relations, Training)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing similar business portfolios and sizable teams
  • Fashion, retail, or luxury background highly advantageous
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking ability and sound decision-making

  • Strong communication skills to express and convey key messages clearly

Education

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional qualification.
