Role & Responsibilities
- Support the global data governance programme by maintaining data dictionaries, metadata records and stewardship logs for product, customer and master data domains.
- Perform data quality profiling and validation exercises, identify anomalies and coordinate remediation with business owners and IT teams.
- Assist in the implementation and administration of master data management (MDM) rules, workflows and exception handling.
- Document data lineage and contribute to mapping exercises that trace source-to-consumption pathways across systems.
- Prepare regular data quality reports and dashboards for stakeholders and participate in governance forums and working groups.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (IT, merchandising, CRM, supply chain) to translate business rules into actionable stewardship tasks.
- Support GDPR and privacy-related data classification tasks as they pertain to governed datasets.
- Contribute to process documentation, training materials and change-control records to embed stewardship practices.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s programme in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Management, Business Analytics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical aptitude with a methodical, detail-oriented approach to data validation and documentation.
- Foundational knowledge of data governance concepts, master data management and metadata principles.
- Basic proficiency in SQL and spreadsheet modelling (Excel); familiarity with Python or R is an advantage.
- Effective communicator capable of working with technical teams and business stakeholders across time zones.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a structured, process-driven environment.

Experience
Internship-level role: prior internship experience or project work in data governance, data quality, analytics or master data is preferred but not required; 0–1 years of relevant hands-on experience is acceptable.
Education
Enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a closely related discipline.
